VERO BEACH — An early morning tip by a resident led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man in connection with three automobile burglaries in different parts of the city, police said Tuesday.
Two burglaries were on Victory Boulevard and the third was on 18th Place.
Daniel Murguia, 20, of the 1500 block of 26th Avenue, Vero Beach, was arrested on three charges of car burglary and on charges of loitering and prowling, and resisting arrest without violence, said police Capt. Keith Touchberry.
Police stopped Murguia after learning that he was on a Moped-style vehicle.
The investigation started at 4:30 a.m. when a resident in the 300 block of 18th Place called about seeing someone rummaging through two different vehicles along 18th Place and that the person drove off on a vehicle similar to a Moped.
“We credit an alert resident in Murguia’s apprehension,” Touchberry said.
