VERO BEACH, Fla. - Update: Southbound lanes of 95 are now open.
Original Story: At least one person was expected to be transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute by helicopter after an accident on Interstate 95 just north of the Vero Beach exit at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
All southbound lanes were expected to be closed to allow the Air Rescue helicopter to land, according Florida Highway Patrol.
Southbound lanes are expected to be open shortly. Two patients suffered minor injuries while one patient was in stable condition according to Lutienant Tim Frith of the Florida Highway Patrol.
