INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. — A Vero Beach woman claimed the luck of the Irish with the St. Patrick's Day purchase of a winning scratch-off ticket, the Florida Lottery said Wednesday.
Angela Williams bought a $20 Gold Rush Tripler ticket Saturday at Country Food Market, 5470 45th St., Vero Beach, lottery officials said. Williams, 53, won $500,000 with her ticket, according to the lottery. Prizes for the scratch-off game range from $20 to $3 million.
Williams and her husband, Mark, collected the reward Tuesday in Tallahassee, officials said. They could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
