Turtles released on Treasure Coast

About 75 people showed up just south of the Sebastian Inlet to help release 32 loggerhead turtles into the Indian River Lagoon early Monday morning.

Many of the onlookers were able to help release the turtles.

Each year The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration captures turtles in Merritt Island to study them, and they are released each year when they are finished collecting their data.
