Authorities had no information about the ownership of a Styrofoam raft that washed ashore north of the St. Lucie County line during the weekend.
Indian River County Sheriff's Office spokesman Deputy Jeff Luther said county officials removed the raft from the beach Monday.
The vessel, found south of the Moorings Club, had a black sail and was found with food rations and empty bottles, according to a resident who lives near the area.
Officials at the U.S. Coast Guard's Fort Pierce station said Monday they had no information about the raft.
