SEBASTIAN — An experienced skydiving instructor from Massachusetts died in a skydiving accident at the Sebastian Municipal Airport at about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, his family members said.

Jason Eisenzopf, 30, of Fitchburg, Mass., died of injuries from a hard parachute landing while skydiving with another person who was learning how to dive. Eisenzopf was coming in for a landing and "something happened (went wrong during a final turn). He did not have enough time or distance to correct," said his mother Barbara Eisenzopf.

He landed in a drop zone at the Sebastian Municipal Airport.

Eisenzopf made more than 1,000 jumps during his life and was a sky diving instructor at Skydive New England, in Maine, his mother said.

"He lived life to the fullest," his mother said.

Funeral services are April 10 at Brandon Funeral Home in Fitchburg.
