SEBASTIAN, Fla. - The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting death of a 22-year old man.
It happened just after 7 p.m. Wednesday night at a home on 93rd Avenue in the Vero Lake Estates neighborhood.
Investigators were questioning a 21-year old man but no one has been arrested in the case. He was not cooperating according to Indian River County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jeff Luther.
A Sheriff's Office helicopter and K-9 units were searching the area for a short while but investigators later said they had the scene secured.
The deceased man was visiting the home at the time of the shooting. The home is owned by the person investigators are attempting to question.
“We don’t know whether it was a home invasion or an argument” that led to the shooting, Luther said.
Investigators are calling the case a homicide.
