INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. — A good Samaritan on Thursday evening rescued two people from the Sebastian Inlet after their boat capsized, authorities said.
About 8 p.m. Thursday, Indian River County Sheriff's office received reports that a 21-foot vessel capsized in the inlet.
Another boater, who hasn't been identified, saw the couple in distress and picked them up and took them to a dock, said Brian Burkeen, Indian River County assistant fire chief.
The people declined transport, Burkeen said.
The boat washed against the north jetty. It is unknown what caused the boat the capsize.
No further information was available Thursday evening.
