Former Vero Beach man charged with sending nude photos of himself to girl's cellphone

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Sheriff's Office charged a man with sending nude photos of himself to a girl's cell phone, according to his affidavit.

Michael Reynolds, 35, previously of the 2000 block of 33rd Avenue, was charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and transmission of material harmful to minors. Reynolds, whose most recent address was in Steubenville, Ohio, was being held at the Indian River County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A parent said in October she was checking her child's cell phone and saw a text message indicating Reynolds had been sending her photos, the affidavit states. The girl told detectives she had received at least five nude photos from Reynolds, according to the affidavit.

As part of the investigation, the Sheriff's Office filed a court order for phone records from Reynolds' cell service provider.
