CODY, Wyo. (AP) -- Authorities have recovered the bodies of a businessman and two of "Buffalo Bill" Cody's great-grandsons from the wreckage of a small plane that crashed into a central Florida marsh.

The Federal Aviation Administration lost contact with the Cessna 310 on Thursday afternoon, and the crash site was discovered Friday about 20 miles west of Vero Beach, Fla.

Authorities haven't released the names of the victims, but a family member identified them as Rob Krieger -- a Florida businessman -- and brothers Kit and Barry Cody.

Kit Cody's son-in-law, Bryan Edwards, tells The Cody Enterprise the three had been "island hopping" in the Bahamas before the crash.

Buffalo Bill, whose real name was William F. Cody, was best known for his Wild West show, which ran from the 1880s to the early 1900s.
