WEST PALM BEACH — Four adults and two dogs were displaced after a fire caused extensive damage to parts of a house this evening, a Fire Rescue official said.
West Palm Beach Fire units responded shortly a 6 p.m. to residence in the 800 block of Glenridge Drive after the fire started in a bedroom, Battalion Chief Malcolm Bomford said. The fire spread into a hallway area, but fire crews were quickly able to contain it, he said.
The bedroom and hallway area suffered extensive damage, and there was mild to moderate smoke damage to other areas of the home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Bomford said.
The displaced residents are staying with relatives, he said.
