WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A suburban West Palm Beach woman is being flown to the hospital after she suffered burns to her face during a house fire this afternoon.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews responded to a home at 2:16 p.m. in the 6000 block of Seminole Circle in suburban West Palm Beach to reports of a bed fire set intentionally by a woman. When crews arrived, they reported heavy, black smoke coming from the home.

Though crews were able to control and extinguish the fire quickly, one of two people in the home - a woman - received "first- or second-degree" burns to her face, crews reported. It was unclear whether the woman being flown was the same woman who intentionally set the bed on fire.

The woman will be flown to Delray Medical Center, said fire rescue spokesman Capt. Don DeLucia.
