Accused kidnapper Latonia Alvin-Williams was denied bond Saturday morning.

Judge Ted Booras, in denying bond, pointed out that kidnapping is a felony punishable by life in prison. Alvin-Williams has only been charged with two third-degree felonies to date.

Sitting in the audience was the baby's grandmother, Robin Alexander, who praised the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department for quickly finding the infant, whom she reports is happy and healthy today.

Alvin-Williams is charged with false imprisonment and interference with custody after being accused of abducting 2-week-old Mar'Quan Johnson from his mother's home in West Palm Beach.

Mar'Quan disappeared while his mother, Tiounia Clayborn, 25, showered at home Friday.

Police said the collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the state's Amber Alert system helped bring the infant back to his mother on Friday afternoon.
