WEST PALM BEACH — Police arrested a West Palm Beach man on Sunday after he allegedly got into a physical fight with his wife and somehow struck his 4-year-old daughter in the process.
Michael Lane Klaschus, 42, is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $8,000 bond. He is facing charges of battery and child abuse without great harm.
According to the probable cause affidavit, a West Palm Beach Police officer was dispatched to the couple's home in the 6000 block of 66th Way shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.
Klaschus' wife told the responding officer that he had been "drinking all day", and had "become aggressive" with her and their three children.
During a physical assault on his wife, Klaschus somehow struck his 4-year-old daughter, the affidavit stated.
The officer noted in the affidavit that "several bruises" could be seen on the wife's face, and that the girl received a bruise to the left eye.
