WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Vince Demasi has been tapped to lead the West Palm Beach Police Department, according to Elliott Cohen, city spokesman.

Cohen said Demasi accepted the offer today. He will report to work on August 13th, with a starting salary of $140,000 per year.

Demasi comes from Cincinnati, where he was the assistant police chief. He was scheduled to retire this month.
