SUBURBAN ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Two men are in the hospital after their rental car flipped on its top in a canal in suburban Royal Palm Beach this morning.

The red 2012 Corvette rented from Hertz landed upside down in a canal located at the intersection of Folsom Road and Okeechobee Boulevard, west of State Road 7, shortly after 5 a.m.

According to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies, the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a guard rail and landed in the canal. The two men escaped the vehicle and were taken to Palms West hospital with minor injuries after a witness on the way to work saw the accident and dialed 911.

Deputies say the men are expected to be okay.

It is not clear if either of the men will be charged with breaking any laws.
