SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The investigation into the deaths of two men who were found shot inside a car Thursday morning continues in Suburban West Palm Beach.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a resident made the gruesome discovery early Thursday morning at the apartment complex near 4695 Dyson Circle around 7:40 a.m.
"When I started walking up closer and I started seeing the bullet holes, and then when I saw the body and everything, I said 'oh yeah it was a straight up kill,' " said the resident who did not want to reveal his identity.
The resident who found the two men shot dead said when he first saw the Mazda parked, he thought the broken windows and flat tires were a result of a break-in. He said something did not feel right and that is when he noticed someone inside the car.
"So as I got closer I started screaming, 'Yo brother! Yo my brother! Yo!' I said, 'Yo!' and that's when I looked and said 'oh my gosh,' called 911," said the resident.
PBSO deputies eventually swarmed the scene, picking through the sedan that had several bullet holes. But before investigators appeared, the witness noticed something strange.
"The passenger, he was just sitting there, head slumped over, had his phone. It was like it was a surprise," said the resident.
PBSO continued the search on Thursday for both the gunman and where the shooting started.
