Travel delays likely after winter storm blasts the South and heads toward New England

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The storms that swept across the South on Christmas day are now moving to the east and are expected to cause travel delays for those flying in and out of South Florida.

Rare winter twisters damaged property in Louisiana and Alabama.

While no one was killed directly in the tornadoes, the storm system is moving toward New England and is responsible for at least 6 deaths .

Travelers are encouraged to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to their flight.
