WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Horse lovers are flocking to South Florida this weekend.

Thirty Lusitano horses from Brazil made their way to West Palm Beach.

They're part of a prestigious auction event set for this weekend.

The event is expected to draw big crowds.

Last year the most expensive horse sold for $145,000.

"The Lusitano originally was very famous for its bullfighting ability and as the sport of bullfighting is disappearing, we really wanted to see the breed last and have a future in the international world so they've been bread to be a little taller, little longer but still maintain grace intelligence like they were in their previous sport," said Heather Bender, a trainer.

The horses are usually purchased by amateur or professional riders and they use them for show or for performances.
