A cache of Studio 54 memorabilia will be auctioned off Saturday in West Palm Beach, revealing a nostalgic glimpse into 1970s New York.

Back in the late 1970s and early ’80s, the only place hip New Yorkers wanted to be seen after dark was Studio 54.

Studio 54’s charismatic co-owner Steve Rubell, partied with the likes of Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minnelli and Frank Sinatra, among hundreds of other celebrities.

When Rubell died in 1989, he left behind hundreds of items from Studio 54’s four-year run. Those items will be auctioned on Jan. 19 by Palm Beach Modern Auctions in West Palm Beach.
