WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Charges are pending against a man who police say stole a car in Riviera Beach, then crashed into a light pole in West Palm Beach, injuring all four occupants of the vehicle, including two children.

The crash happened just after 4 a.m. Sunday right outside Roosevelt Elementary School.

Police say the driver stole the car while it was still running in a gas station parking lot in Riviera Beach Saturday night. When it crashed, investigators say there were four people inside, including two children. The children made it out safely, while the two adults were seriously injured.

All four were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
