SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The South Florida Water Management District conducted a drill Wednesday to make sure the agency is ready for a hurricane.

The drill is referred to as "Hurricane Freddy."

Crews at SFWMD headquarters, and the S-5A pump station on State Road 80, are testing emergency management and flood control procedures.

A pump operator said the agency appears well prepared to respond if a storm strikes South Florida.
