WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -  "I think justice was served."

That's what prosecutor Ellen Roberts said after a jury found John Goodman guilty of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.

Concerning the jury she said, "I think they were careful, obviously they gave it a lot of thought, it wasn't something that they went out and came back in ten minutes. They gave it a lot of thought, they went over a lot of evidence. And I think they returned the only verdict they could."

The jury found Goodman guilty of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges in the Feb. 12, 2010 death of 23-year-old Scott Wilson.

The defense tried to argue Goodman's car malfunctioned, that he had a concussion and that he drank after the accident to deaden his pain.

Roberts said, "I think it was sort of difficult to think all three of those things went bad at once... they were just sort of preposterous, that's all."

Roberts said she thought the jury saw through the defense experts. "They just weren't real credible. Some of the theories were pretty bizarre." she said.

"We didn't have to prove how many drinks he had. We didn't have to prove where he got the alcohol," said co-prosecutor Sherri Collins.
