WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A 13-year-old boy was shot multiple times while riding his bike in West Palm Beach on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say someone in a black vehicle drove up to the child and fired several shots.
The shooting happened in an industrial area in the 3200 block of Electronics Way.
Police say they are interviewing witnesses, and one tried to help the victim before police arrived.
Spokesman Allan Ortman said police are looking for a black male in a white T-shirt driving a box-style 90s model black vehicle. He said it had a landau, or ragtop roof, lighter in color than the rest of the vehicle.
"We know the young man was riding north on Electronics (Way) the shooter was going south, he pulled right up alongside and fired. That's all we know at this time," Ortman said.
Ortman said the victim was shot multiple times and his condition is very grave.
