Authorities have arrested a suspect in the shooting death Saturday afternoon of a man in the 2000 block of Major Drive in suburban West Palm Beach, said Eric Davis, spokesman for Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim died of a gunshot wound to the upper torso, Davis said.
He was dead when rescue crews arrived on scene around 4:30 p.m., said Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach Fire Rescue
Witnesses told deputies that they saw the suspect flee north into an apartment complex, Davis said.
Deputies, along with K-9, found the suspect and he surrendered without incident, Davis said.
The suspect was taken into custody and is being questioned, Davis said.
