WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Zoo also got into the green spirit Monday.
The passport to adventure allowed families to stroll through the zoo learning about sustainability.
For zoo employees, it is about educating others that preservation should be thought about all year long.
"Its a special day set aside as a reminder that we are all connected with wildlife and wild places, and humans have a really strong impact on protecting the environment," said Kristen Cytacki.
Earth day is now observed in 180 nations around the world.
