Palm Beach Lakes High School student brings handgun to campus, district confirms

A student at Palm Beach Lakes High School is under arrest, accused of bringing a handgun and ammo to school.
The student, who is a male, has not been identified.
A school police officer searched the student after receiving a tip.
The Palm Beach County School District confirmed the suspect is at the juvenile assessment center in West Palm Beach.
It's not clear what type of gun was brought to school or whether the weapon was loaded.
No students were threatened or in danger, according to the district.
