WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach County is already making preparations for the arrival of oil on our shores.
This afternoon, members of the Deepwater Horizons Task Force discussed training for proper beach clean-up and using boom line and oil skimmers.
The task force says using boom is not practical because the type of oil projected to come this way is weathered oil, which is not as thick as oil from the fresh spill.
If necessary, only sensitive areas, which include mangroves, will be boomed.
