WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Hungry pets flooded out by Isaac are getting some help from Palm Beach County Animal Control.

It's providing free dog and cat food for homeowners who are still stranded by high water.

Two local fire stations are helping deliver the food.

It's just one way animal control is helping. It's also still getting calls about livestock that need assistance as well.

"We're making sure that those animals, whether they're emus, goats, chickens, cows, or horses, are getting moved up to higher ground and getting out of the water, or at least having the option if they chose to,” Palm Beach County Animal Control Operations Manager David Walesky said.

If your pet needs food or other assistance, you can call the Emergency Operations Center at 561-712-6400.
