WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Students at Palm Beach Atlantic University will be getting a hands on lesson in the dangers of text messaging and driving on Monday.

From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, students will get the chance put one hand on the wheel and the other on a mobile device at a driving simulator located on the West Palm Beach campus.

A computer will analyze the results to show the students how their driving skill is impacted when they concentrate on texting behind the wheel.

A spokesperson for the school says that purpose of the simulator is to allow students to fully appreciate the dangers of this action without risking their safety.
