WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney woke up in South Florida Friday, ready to continue on the campaign trail.
Romney departed from Palm Beach International Airport at Jet Aviation around 8:45 a.m. It is believed he spent the night at a hotel on Singer Island after two fundraisers near the Seminole Golf Club.
Attendees of the fundraisers say Romney talked about the economy.
The Palm Beach Daily News reports Romney will end his Florida campaign late in October, with an event at a private home on Palm Beach.
While President Barack Obama had previously trailed in fundraising, the Associated Press is now reporting a shift in money available to spend.
Obama has about $88 million available at this point, while Romney now trails with $50.4 million.
When Romney departs South Florida, he is headed for events in Las Vegas and San Francisco.
