A Palm Beach Gardens man charged with first degree murder for beating his roommate to death 2 years ago was back in court Wednesday

A judge sentenced Daniel Lee Alexander to life in prison.

According to police, two years and two months ago today Alexander killed his roommate Robert Harrison.

Alexander told the judge he is "willing to accept responsibility for what I did."

He also told the judge, "I wish I could go back and change things and make the right choices."

The victim's sister told the judge Alexander stole away her brother's ability to be a husband and father.

In January 2009, police say Alexander beat Harrison with a frying pan, stabbed him to death, dismembered his body and disposed of it in buckets filled with concrete.

According to the prosecution all of Harrison's organs were missing.

Alexander's ex-wife was also in court today testifying against him.
