SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - An early morning shooting in suburban West Palm Beach leaves one man dead, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office officials.
The shooting took place on the 5100 block of Palm Hill Drive at about 2:12a.m. Sunday morning.
A couple was walking into their home when they were approached by an armed black man who forced them inside at gunpoint.
Deputies said the man was trying to rob their home when the male victim struggled with him, got ahold of the gun and managed to shoot the gunman.
The suspect tried to get away, but was pronounced dead shortly after on a nearby walkway by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
