WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Drunk driving. Many of us know someone touched directly by the dangers posed on our highways by drunk drivers. All of us worry that the next drunk driver might cross our path, or that of a loved one.
The National Transportation Safety Board wants to lessen that impact and danger. It is recommending to states that they lower the blood alcohol limit for drunk driving to 0.05 percent from 0.08 percent. It might be the difference, some experts say, of one less drink over 90 minutes for the average sized man or wo man. They argue that might be the difference between life and death on the highway.
I found one article--many of our reporters are looking at this topic too--that might help frame the issue for you. It's a safety debate all of us have a stake in. Click here for story.
