WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Trinnette Morris is picking up things for her niece who starts kindergarten tomorrow.
"I have my easy savings pass plus they have some great deals so I'm hoping I can walk out of here and get her supplies for less than 20 dollars," said Morris.
Places like Staples on Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach were busy Sunday with people picking up those last minute school supplies.
"I like to wait 'till the last minute, because I'm just lazy," said Savannah Alberty.
"This is our holiday season all the kids come in and get everything they need its busy, its crazy but we're organized, we have everything they want," said General Manager Michael Leavitt.
Leavitt says the busiest days at his store will actually be this coming week, when a lot of students will discover they need a different notebook, or are missing a few supplies.
It's not just parents and students loading up. First-year teacher Myrtha Lubin is getting set for her first-grade class at Highland Elementary.
"I have to buy supplies notebooks, folders, pencils, all the essentials," said Lubin.
And the essentials add up. Some parents can spend upwards of 200-dollars per student. For Christina Kramer, her bill came to about 50-bucks.
"Its a good day, its the first time I ever went back to school shopping on a Sunday before school starts the next morning," said Kramer.
And was it a good day for Trinnette Morris?
"I have coupons so were going to make this work," said Morris.
