WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A jury has found John Goodman guilty of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges in the Feb. 12, 2010 death of 23-year-old Scott Wilson.
The jury, which consisted of five men and one woman, returned the verdict after more than five hours of deliberations.

Defense attorney Roy Black asked 15th Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath to let Goodman remain free until sentencing. Colbath denied the request, and Goodman was taken into custody and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
After the verdict, Wilson's mother Lili said justice has been served.
"I'm always going to miss my son. He is the most wonderful... I will always cherish his memories," she said.
She said it's now time for the healing process to begin.
Black said in a statement regarding the verdict that "multiple errors were committed during and before the trial."
“That, in effect, denied our client’s ability to get a fair trial," Black said. "We intend to file an appeal so that our client can receive the just and fair proceeding to which he is entitled by law.”
Outside the courtroom, prosecutor Sherri Collins said Goodman's wealth was not an issue in the case and trial.
"This case wasn't about money," she said. " This case wasn't about David vs. Goliath. This case was about facts."
An emotional Lili Wilson told the media she had not begun thinking about how long Goodman should spend in prison. Her attorney and spokesperson Chris Searcy said the family would discuss that in a meeting with lead prosecutor Ellen Roberts.
Before reaching a verdict around 1:45 p.m., jurors asked to re-hear the three 911 calls made the night of the 2010 fatal crash that took Wilson's life.
Jurors began deliberations Thursday afternoon, just after 4:30, and deliberated for about 30 minutes before being excused for the day. They later resumed deliberations Friday morning at 8 a.m.
The verdict means Goodman, 48, faces up to 30 years in prison. Goodman's sentencing hearing will be held April 30 at 1:30 p.m.
This story was updated to reflect that there were five men and one woman on the jury.
