WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.-- A Stuart lab is expected to examine an ankle monitoring device used by Wellington polo mogul John Goodman.

Goodman was put back into jail from house arrest on October 10 after authorities found the device had been tampered with.

Goodman's lawyers say the device broke accidentally.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies say Goodman destroyed the device with a handheld mirror.

He had been on house arrest following a guilty conviction in May of this year.

A jury found the 49-year-old guilty of DUI manslaughter for the February 2010 crash that killed 23-year old Scott Wilson.

According to our news partners at the Sun Sentinel, Goodman will stay in jail until at least December 18, after Judge Jeffrey Colbath rescheduled a hearing on Goodman's appellate bond.
