A JetBlue plane en route to New York from Fort Lauderdale made an emergency landing in West Palm Beach Thursday after the pilot reported a problem with the speed indicator, according to aviation officials.
JetBlue flight 18 departed Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 11: 36 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The Airbus 320 then began circling Palm Beach International Airport after reporting the problem, an airport official said.
At 12:53 p.m., the plane made a safe emergency landing at PBIA, the FAA said. The flight was scheduled to arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport at 2:34 p.m. It is unclear whether passengers will continue to New York on another flight.
