WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A 30-year-old West Palm Beach man serving a life sentence for committing what one judge called “the most cruel and brutal crimes in the history of the county” has won a new trial.
The Fourth District Court of Appeal today threw out Jesse Lee Miller’s conviction in the 1999 murder of high school student Nicholas Megrath at Chick-fil-A restaurant at the now defunct Palm Beach Mall.
