Break out your shopping shoes. A new store is opening for business in Palm Beach County.
H&M, the low-cost fashion store with a cult-like following, opened Thursday at noon at CityPlace.
Several hundred people were lined up this morning. The crowd is expected to grow before the doors open. The first 100 people will receive a gift card (value up to $300). About 30 people slept in front of the store overnight.
This is the Swedish retailer's third Palm Beach County store, having opened a location earlier this month at the Mall at Wellington Green. The Gardens Mall store opened to huge crowds in 2010.
The new store is at 700 Rosemary Ave., across the street from the CityPlace fountain.
H&M likes to make a splash with it's openings. According to the CityPlace website, shoppers at today's grand opening will be eligible for giveaways up to $300 for the first 100 shoppers in line, and everyone will receive free parking with their H&M purchase.
The company, which has 3,000 stores worldwide, offers stylish fashions at discount prices. There are now 15 H&M stores in Florida.
