WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Forbes.com is out with its annual list of "most miserable" cities and surprisingly, Miami West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale are among them.
According to Forbes, Miami, the city known for glitz and glamor, is suffering through a housing crisis that has 47 percent of homeowners stuck with underwater mortgages. In addition, hundreds of thousands of homes have entered foreclosure since 2008.
Forbes.com's method of ranking "miserable" cities included 10 factors: violent crime rate, property tax rates, commute, political corruption and how area pro sports teams performed, among others.
