SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Two adults and three children -- ages 14, 10 and 11 -- are displaced this morning after a fire tore through their suburban West Palm Beach home.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue units were called to 800 Briarwood Drive around 2:50 a.m. after reports of the fire.

On arrival, crews found fire and smoke from the front and side windows and doors of the home.

All five residents had already gotten out of the home, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Spokesperson Albert Borroto.

Borroto said crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control and extinguish it. He said one challenge the crews encountered was gaining entrance into the hurricane-rated garage door.

The Red Cross has been contacted to assist the home's occupants.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
