Fire forces evacuation of WPB high-rise condo

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A fire broke up at Palm Beach House Condominium  in West Palm Beach Monday afternoon, according to Allan Ortman, Director of Emergency Management for the City of West Palm Beach.

The first 8 floors were evacuated. All other residents were asked to stay in place, according to fire officials.

The cause of fire is unknown at this time.

Residents should be allowed back in the building within the hour, said Ortman.

No injures reported.
