WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Contact 5 Investigators have learned that finance officials are reviewing records today at the Justice Services Division of the Palm Beach County Courthouse trying to figure out more about how an alleged forgery scheme took place in the office.

This comes the day after NewsChannel 5 broke the news that one of the clerks from the department was arrested for allegedly offering people to take cash in exchange for getting them out of court ordered community service.

31 year old Sayied Khan was arrested by police on Tuesday in Boynton Beach.  He was a clerk at the office until he was fired on Wednesday.  He had worked for Palm Beach County since 2002.

In March Jennifer Diroma of Lake Worth was sent to the Justice Services Department to sign up for 50 hours of court ordered community service.

In an exclusive interview with NewsChannel 5, Diroma said Khan called her and said he'd take $300 in exchange for putting his signature on documents stating she had completed her community service with Goodwill.  She called police which started the investigation.

A spokesperson for Goodwill, one of three non-profits that allegedly lost out on volunteers, is calling it a very unfortunate situation.

"I think our court system recognizes the importance of volunteers, so when you’re not serving the community and violating the trust you’re taking away from the organization of Goodwill and other non profits," said Brian Edwards, a spokesperson for Goodwill Industries.
