WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A family of four is displaced after their mobile home caught on fire Saturday afternoon in West Palm Beach, according to Captain Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The fire developed in the 62-hundred block of 16th Place South shortly after 5:00 p.m.

When Palm Beach County Fire Rescue arrived, neighbors were already trying to extinguish the flames with water from their garden hoses, says Borroto.

Crews made an aggressive attack and were able to control the fire, says Borrroto.

The American Red Cross was able to coordinate emergency aid for the family – two adults and two children – by providing temporary housing, food and clothing.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
