Eight people displaced in early morning West Palm Beach house fire

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews responded to house fire in West Palm Beach this morning.

Crews arrived at the 1500 block of Bresee Road around 3:38 a.m. Firefighters found smoke coming from the door of a home, and all occupants were waiting outside.

The person who called 911 said smoke in the house had woken those inside. 

Inside the home, fire crews found a fire in the kitchen and extinguished it quickly.

Eight people were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross is currently assisting them.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
