Mason Anderson fled the scene but is now in jail

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputies identified the victim and suspect connected to a homicide which occurred in the 2000 block of Major Drive in suburban West Palm Beach Saturday afternoon. 

Edward Booth, 31, of West Palm Beach died on scene after being shot in the upper torso, according to Eric Davis, spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Davis says the suspect, Mason Anderson, 19, of West Palm Beach fled north of the scene into an apartment complex. Deputies and K-9 units were able to get Anderson to surrender himself.

Anderson is currently booked in the Palm Beach County jail on Violation of Probation and weapons charges at this time says Davis.
