WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -
The teen hit with a spear gun continues to recover from his injury.
He was with friends in the water earlier this week when the accident happened.
The doctor who operated on Connar McKee said he's one lucky guy.
"The way the spear was sticking out of his neck we couldn't secure his airway so we had to get a bolt cutter to try and cut the spear close to his neck so we could further resuscitate him so he could be flat on the stretcher," the doctor said.
McKee is recovering in the hospital. No word when he will be discharged.
