WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The DUI case involving former U.S. Congressman Tim Mahoney was discussed in court Tuesday.
Mahoney was not personally in the courtroom, but one of his defense attorneys Jack Goldberger spoke on his behalf.
Goldberger told Judge Mark Eissey the defense team plans on filing some motions before the trial.
Authorities in Palm Beach Gardens say they found Mahoney drunk and asleep behind the wheel in August.
Police say they found the former representative inside his car on an access road at the corner of PGA Boulevard and US-1.
Mahoney has denied the charges.
The trial date could be determined in March.
