Chase Alexander Claus arrested: Suspected West Palm apartment complex meth lab busted by officers

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Police have arrested a man after a possible meth lab bust in West Palm Beach Tuesday.

Officers, firefighters and a Hazmat team assembled at an apartment complex to investigate the possible meth lab.

Police say they received a call concerning narcotics at the White Hall complex in the 2700 block of Village Boulevard.

Police arrested 24-year-old Chase Alexander Claus in connection with the suspected meth lab.

He was jailed on drug charges.

Bond is set at $25,000 for Chase Claus.

The West Palm Beach man is accused of attempting to manufacture meth in his apartment.

Detectives with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested Claus Tuesday night following a day long investigation into his apartment off Village Boulevard.

They say they found the ingredients inside the White Hall apartment that are typically used to make meth.

Police say Claus' father called 911.

The man who claims he is the father did not want to be identified but said his son has had problems with drugs for years.

"My biggest fear is he's gonna' die," the man said. "He's really thin. He don't have control. He can't make decisions. He's sincere in that he believes he's gonna' get help but he's not going to."

Police say the ingredients used didn't pose any immediate threat to neighbors.
